HISTORY IN-DEPTH: Link From a particular mountain, many Earth Malakim-- later known as Seraphim, were born. But two who came to life on that mountain created a special bond. While they don't have true families, the Malak Eizen always saw Edna as his beloved sister. But Eizen attracted malevolence and misfortune, and several times he put the people around him-- including Edna-- in grave danger. Though she never cared about that, Eizen took off from that mountain and delved into a life on the high seas; only writing letters to his sister... well. Along with various interesting gifts from his travels. During that time, Edna was left alone to manage on that mountain... until the day her brother returned to her as a dragon. Without a way to turn him back, she was once again tied to that mountain as it's guardian. She looked for ways to save him but ultimately accepted that there was nothing that she could do, and prepared herself to spend the rest of her days there. Until a young man came asking for her help. Having always wanted to travel beyond that mountain, she knew what she wanted to do-- but hesitated. But he expressed a desire to help her brother and she agreed to help, although she probably intended to the entire time. It wasn't easy and part of that path meant accepting that her brother would never be saved-- and instead played a part in freeing him through death. Now she remains still, as a guardian-- watching the results of their work. At least... until now. PERSONALITY Edna allows herself to come off as harsh and apathetic; which comes from a bitter place inside of her that's full of loneliness and sadness. But it's also a result of many ages with very little interaction. The distrust and dislike of humanity she had also built up has mellowed a little. She recognizes in a very realistic way that there are both good and bad humans, the same as anything else. Her travels with Sorey were good for her in many ways-- and very difficult for her in others. There are wounds from that trip that she's still healing from. At her core she does care. She doesn't like to be a burden on others and wants to be needed, because she doesn't like being lonely. But it's a difficult balance, because she doesn't like looking weak either. Which is why it's difficult to get to her true emotions. It's easier for her to cover it in dry humor and silly nicknames or made up dances. But the people she teases are often those she likes the best. It's those she doesn't seem interested in picking on that should worry. QUIRK IN-DEPTH: N/A. ABILITIES WEAPON: Hair STYLE: Magic and brute force - Magic Hair: Edna's hair has grown a great deal, now trailing down to the floor. Even for someone of her stature that's a lot of hair. And like Rapunzel's it's incredibly strong. Likewise it has a good number of uses. From the traditional `it could be a rope` to being used as a whip, it's more than just lovely. - Healing Tears: Like Rapunzel did for her blinded prince, Edna's tears are capable of healing wounds most terrible with just a few drops. - Voice of an Angel: The same beautiful singing that Rapunzel was known for is now Edna's. What will she do with that? Maybe she'll break some mirrors. Or maybe just maybe it will bring her prince to her. Who knows.
